Prior to meeting you, I had contracted with a “national” agency. They sent someone out to talk to me, and gave me a valuation that blew me away. They made all sorts of claims about an outreach to returning military persons who are itching to buy businesses like mine, a nationwide advertising campaign, etc. they gladly accepted my $10k check that evening.
All they did was place an ad on their own website, and on the rare occurrence that someone would click on my ad, they sent me a letter and told me to reach out to this “buyer”. Most would reply back that they had no interest. Many never replied back at all. This went on for 4 years! I was expressing my displeasure with them to another business owner who confided in me that he too was trying to sell, and his experience was quite the opposite. He gave me your contact info.
I hesitated at first because if a national company wasn’t working, what could a “small” local company do for me? Your confidence in your ability to help me was inspiring, but I was still hesitant.
